Description :
parsley is the best-known condiment plant. A biennial member of the Umbelliferae family, parsley grows in virtually all soils and climates. The Common variety is fragrant, with broad, flat leaves.
Soil preparation: Parsley likes light, humus-rich, cool soil.
Sowing: February to September, 1 cm deep.
Soak seeds 24 h in water before sowing.
Slow germination, then rapid growth.
Keep soil moist during emergence.
Emergence: 6 to 21 days.
Harvest: 3 months after sowing, from April to November. Cut with a knife 3 cm above the crown, and water frequently and copiously.
This variety can be grown in pots or window boxes, in clay-enriched potting soil.
